# Adding and Removing Password Protection for Events

## Secure Your Event Access with Password Protection

Password protection allows you to restrict access to your event page, ensuring only individuals with the correct password can view and purchase tickets. Here's how to manage password protection for your events.

📝 Password protection can be added or removed at any time before or after event publication.

### Adding Password Protection

#### For New Events (During Event Creation)

1. To kick off your event creation, simply check out the steps in our handy guide here ⬇️

2. Navigate to the `Additional Settings` section while creating your event.
3. Locate the `Password Protection` option.
4. Enable the feature by toggling the button.
5. Enter your desired password.
6. Complete the rest of your event setup and publish.

#### For Existing Events

1. From your Dashboard go to the `My Events` section.
2. Find the event you want to modify and click `View`.
3. Navigate to `Additional Settings` section.
4. To enable `Event Password Protection` just click `Update`.
5. `Save` your changes.

When password protection is active:

- Buyers will see a password prompt when attempting to access your event.
- Only those with the correct password can view event details and purchase tickets.
- The password requirement applies to all showings of the event.

### Removing Password Protection

1. From your Dashboard go to the `My Events` section.
2. Find the password-protected event and click `View`.
3. Navigate to `Additional Settings` section.
4. To disable `Event Password Protection` just click `Update`.
5. Delete the password.
6. `Save` your changes.

💡 Important Notes

- Choose a secure but memorable password
- Share the password only with intended attendees
- Consider updating the password periodically for long-running events
- Keep a record of who has access to the password

Password protection is an effective way to control access to your events, whether they're private gatherings, exclusive performances, or members-only shows. By carefully managing your event's password settings, you can ensure your tickets reach your intended audience while maintaining the privacy you desire. 🔐
